The Gothic Metalrock Band is well known by the insiders of the scene. In Greece thereÆs only a small Gothic scene so they are mainly dependent on international fans. Of course also in Greece growed a fanbase because Metalrock has many followers. After several releases and the last album "Blood of a Kind" three years ago the Saddolls are back with new material. Call Me Pain is the single, released on all streaming platforms and as a special limited Digipack available on saddolls.net.

SadDolls From Athen/Greece

The titletrack starts slowly with electronic sound until the guitars hit hard. After this intro the emotional voice from George Downloved sets in and is well accompanied by the guitars. The melody picks up and the refrain "Call Me Pain, Pain" animates you to sing along. The second verse also goes with heavy riffs until the refrain takes over the powerfull part. In the middlepart the guitars sound dark and rousing before the theme is taken up again. The refrain gets repeated and the song ends with "Pain, Call Me Pain". The Saddolls delivered us a dark catchy tune, that makes you want more. And, as George said in the interview, the upcoming new songs will turn out in this way or even better. The second song on the single "Call Me Pain" is a remix of the song from Technolorgy. Dark keyboard sound opens this version and it stays over the whole song. The guitars step into the background and the electrosound takes on a leading role. The powerfull voice from George Downloved dominates this version, it stands out even more clearly. In the middle part the song turns into another direction through the female voice. It reminds on Dark Electro or EBM songs. Also this powerfull version leaves satisfied listeners. Last but not least there is a live version from "Bleed All I Can" on the single which was recorded during the release concert from "Blood of a Kind" in 2017 at SixDogs in Athen. The song is from the album "About Darkness" released in 2009. This live version has less dynamics than the studio-version but the live atmosphere compensates it completely. And for everyone who would like to hear more about the SadDolls: The band's current single and albums can be found and listened to on all steaming services.

The single shows perfectly that the Saddolls are up to date with their dark gothrock music and they can fully compete with international ones like The 69 Eyes, Lacrimas Profundere and others.

The Saddolls created a fantastic video for äCall Me Painô. The well known director and musician Bob Katsionis (Firewind, Outloud) filmed the music video in the PK theater in Athen and it shows Greece next top model superstar Marianna Painesi.
